The Company\n\nA dynamic Main Contractor with a reputation for delivering high-quality projects for a long list of blue-chip clients. Their sterling reputation as a contractor has allowed them to branch out into numerous markets including: Civil Engineering & Infrastructure, Residential, Commercial & Retail to name a few with project sizes ranging from £20m - £100m.\n\nThe company put relationships at the heart of everything that they do. This is reflected in the fact that they have used many of the same sub-contractors since their early days as a contractor and also enjoy an incredibly high-level of repeat business with clients that they have built solid professional relationships with.\n\nThis role sits within the Civils arm of the business which specialises in a range of Civil and Infrastructure projects including, highways, Bridges, and rail freight.\n\nThe Role\nThe role will involve taking commercial lead of a large civils project (up to £25m in value).

The focus will revolve around the financial and commercial aspects of the scheme alongside mentoring a Graduate QS. Typical roles and responsibilities include:\n\n * Issuing and commercial management of sub-contract tender packages.\n\n * Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.\n\n * Reviewing of contract documents.\n\n * Manage and maintain relationships with established list of supply chain sub-contractors.\n\n * Attend internal and external commercial review meetings.\n\n * Aiding with submission of client valuations and management of the variation account.\n\n * Management of subcontract accounts from procurement to final account.\n\n * Preparation and assistance with the evaluation and submission of claims for variation works.\n\nBenefits\nYou will be given the opportunity to earn up to £65,000 per annum.
